Physical Education, for students in Years 9-12, is based on a lifestyle approach to a wide variety of sports, with fitness as an important part.
We take advantage of local facilities such as Mt Albert sports fields, Cameron Pool, UNITEC and the National Squash Centre.
Our own artificial turf is a great asset, allowing students to participate in Physical Education and recreational sports, whatever the weather.
An exciting aspect of our Physical Education programme is collaboration with UNITEC's School of Sport. Second year UNITEC students offer Hebron students three weeks of small group coaching in a range of codes such as golf, AFL and badminton.
Each year the Physical Education course begins with swimming in the lead up to the school-wide swimming sports. Our best and finest then head off to the Auckland Christian Schools swimming competition.
Other school-wide sports events include cross country and athletics, each leading to interschool competitions. Social Christian schools field days offer students the opportunity to compete against other schools in netball, soccer and hockey.
Hebron Christian College also runs out-of-school teams in a variety of sports, including girls Netball and mixed gender Indoor Netball.
