INCOME
Hebron Christian College is an independent (private) school and therefore gains its income from 3 main sources:

1. Government private school subsidy (approx. 14%)
2. School fees & Building Levy (approx. 85%)
3. Donations, fundraising, bank interests, etc (approx. 1%)

The Government private school subsidy increased under the National Government but the current Labour Government has placed a cap on the total amount for current and future private schools. Consequently, the amount received per pupil this year has decreased as more private schools have started up.

To make up the total required income of the school each year, the School Board sets the school fees at a level that will cover all known expenses, namely staff salaries, curriculum and teaching resources, property costs and administration expenses. The fee is kept as low as possible in order to attract average and low income families to the school at the same time as running the school in a responsible manner.
