Music

Class Lessons

Music, dance and drama are taught at all levels up to Y10 by qualified specialist teachers. Mrs Sarah Rauch teaches each primary class 1 music lesson a week. Mr Christian Stafford teaches Y8-Y10 students Music, Dance & Drama for 2 periods a week.

The school sends teams to perform in the Christian Schools Power Com performing Arts Competition at Kamo each year and usually does very well.

Musicals

Musicals and Variety Concerts have been held in past years and have been very successful. Past performances have included: Pilgrims, Come in From the Cold, Tiddilidick, Moving On, Whose Afraid of the Real Father Christmas? These activities depend on voluntary staff involvement and much parent help. A musical is not planned for the 2008 school year but a school-wide musical is planned for 2009 and planning is already underway.

PRIMARY ORCHESTRA PERFORMANCE
The KBB Music School tutors our primary children in playing brass and woodwind instruments and will form an orchestra made up of flutes, clarinets, saxophones and trumpets when enough players are available. This tuition is not currently happening due to small numbers wanting tuition. We hope to re-activate this tuition in the 2009 school year.
