History

WHY STUDY HISTORY
History is a wonderful subject to teach from a Christian perspective! It is exciting and inspiring to show students the hand of God at work in the affairs of man; and to see them develop an understanding of human nature, as they consider the varying responses nations and individuals have made, to the opportunities God has given them.

We must think historically. When Christians cannot identify the historical ideas that shape and sweep their cultures, they cannot understand the issues of their day.

Gone are the days of chalk and talk and long lists of dates to learn. Today, History classes are fun and interactive and study issues that are relevant to our post modern world. Critical thinking, problem solving and lively debate are encouraged, as is co-operative learning where students use their strengths and giftings as a team to help each other learn.
