Consumer Economics

Consumer Economics is taught for one period per week with students in years 9 and 10.

In this subject, lifelong skills such as personal budgeting and financial goal setting are introduced and discussed.
Other areas of study enable students to learn about business practices and to explore the values and attitudes which help make a person successful in business.

Year 9 and 10 students are currently planing for their big "Market day" on Friday the 3rd of November. On this day, they will set up stalls with products they have made or provided, to sell to the rest of the school during lunch time. This is enjoyed by all and it is great seeing the confidence of the students grow as they engage the marketing challenges of the day.
