Biology

LET US STUDY BIOLOGY FROM A CHRISTIAN PERSPECTIVE
Biology the study of plants and animals with biblical concepts and background

Genesis1:29,30.....And God said,"See I have given you every herb that yields seed.....and every tree...; to you it shall be for food. And, to every beast ..... bird.....every thing that creeps....,I have given herb for food....."

Our elementary knowledge of farming and dairy managment comes from our Almighty. The seasonal changes, day and night sequence are all given by GOD,also the time to plant and to harvest.

BIOLOGY is the study of life, involving the complexities of living organisms.

Welcome to the NCEA level 2 and 3 Biology course. The biology curriculum contributes towards The New Zealand Curriculum Framework within the essential learning area of science. It is an interesting course as it involves you in practical investigations using biological skills, along with the theory. It also prepares you well for further study at tertiary levels with the surveys, collection of data and writing reports.
  • There are 18 to 19 credits offered at each level
  • Some of the Achievement Standards are internally assessed
  • And some of the Achievement Standards are externally assessed at the end of the year
Studying Biology gives you the knowledge of the living world and understand the relationship between the environment and the human race. Learning in biology enhances if you are able to establish a link between the curriculum and the real world around with its beautiful flora and fauna with the knowledge, skills and the attitude you have gained. There are still innumerable biological issues unanswered, which no doubt is a result of careless, human activities - perhaps you could possibly find a solution to some of these vital issues. So come and join the team of our young budding scientists.
