Accounting: Year 12 / NCEA Level 2

Entry Requirements

At least 12 credits achieved in NCEA Level 1 Accounting or at the discretion of the Accounting teacher.


Aims

The aim of this course is to allow students to acquire and develop business-related accounting skills within the context of logical thinking, decision-making, processing of data and the effective communication of results.


Assessment

Hebron's Year 12 Accounting course will contribute 20 credits towards the Level 2 National Certificate in Educational Achievement (NCEA).

The credits will be spread over a mixture of externally assessed and internally assessed achievement standards.

One of the achievement standards involves the processing of financial transactions using computer software.

This course leads into NCEA Level 3 Accounting.
